SUSPENSION

This sway bar replaces the thinner and less effective factory sway bar. Since the motorhome is taller and heavier than many other applications of the stock chassis, this upgrade helps reduce the rocking motion and body roll. Click here for a detailed analysis of this upgrade. NOTE: If you have a 2020 model year or newer, you need this version.

I added these rear shocks, kept my Hellwig sway bar and removed my rear Sumos (putting the stock bump stops back in place). This now feels like the perfect rear suspension combination! It’s controlled, smooth and quiet (relative to the noise and vibration of rear Sumos). Very happy! Click here for a detailed analysis of these shocks.

These are the SumoSprings that I originally added to the front (Model: SSF-106-40). They come in two color-coded stiffness levels for the front, and this is the most commonly recommended version. If you’re looking for the stiffer black version for the front (Model: SSF-106-47), click here. I have since removed them in favor of the new shocks, but the SumoSprings remain very popular on the Sprinter chassis.

These are the SumoSprings that I originally added to the rear (Model: SSR-338-47). They come in two color-coded stiffness levels for the front, and this is the most commonly recommended version. If you’re looking for the stiffer yellow version for the rear (Model: SSR-338-54), click here. I have since removed them in favor of the new shocks, but the SumoSprings remain very popular on the Sprinter chassis.
